| Description |
These lizards are long and thin, reaching
lengths of over two feet. They are bright green,
and have a blue tint on their sides. It has a
double crest on it's head, and spines on it's
back. This is one lizard that actually looks a
little like a dinosaur. |
| Climate |
They need to be kept warm, around 85F during the
day, 70F at night. They need a fairly high
humidity level to be comfortable, and so they
should be misted at least once per day. |
| Habitat |
These lizards run. In fact, they run fast. They
can even run across water! For this reason, they
need a good sized cage, with a big water
container. Six feet across is the minimum to keep
them happy. |
| Feeding |
They will eat insects and small rodents. Some
will also eat commercial reptile food. |
| Notes |
Be careful letting these out of their cage -
they can probably run faster than you! They are
territorial, and so only one should be kept unless
you want to breed them. |
