Gecko picture. |
| Description |
Gray in color, with dark spots. Some have orange
bands starting near the base of their tail. There
has been a great deal of work in breeding albinos,
and very distinctively colored leopard geckos, and
they are now available in a variety of colors.
They grow up to 6 inches in length. |
| Climate |
75 - 85F during the days, cooler at night. A
basking light should be provided so that they can
regulate their temperature. The leopard Gecko is
native to southern Asia. They generally live in
desert or rocky environments. |
| Habitat |
They should be kept in a dry terrarium, with
plenty of rocky areas that they can hide in. Males
can be agressive, so only one male should be kept
in a single enclosure. |
| Feeding |
Insects - earthworms, crickets, mealworms and
pillbugs. |
