| Description |
This is one of the larger anoles, reaching 14
inches in length. They are green in color, and
come in various shades. They have a small crest,
with short spines. |
| Climate |
Temperatures of 85 degrees are suitable during
the day. Night temperatures can drop to low 70's. |
| Habitat |
These are climbers, so a tall terrarium is
preferred, with plenty of branches for climbing.
Be sure to provide a basking area under a heat
lamp or similar. |
| Feeding |
The anoles eat insects, crickets, mealworms and
so on. The Knight Anole is large enough that it
can eat baby mice when grown. |
| Notes |
The Knight Anole is one of the more aggressive,
and they should generally be kept singly, or in
male-female pairs. They have been known to bite
people, so take care in handling them. |
