Usually yellow as hatchlings, and an attractive
green when older, with some small lighter spots.
Other colors are available, some blue and yellow.
They usually grow to six feet in length. |
| Climate |
85 - 90F during the days, cooler at night. The
Green Tree Python is native to New Guinea and
Norhtern Australia. |
| Habitat |
It spends most of it's time in trees, so it
should have a tall terarium, with plenty of
suitable branches for climbing. |
| Feeding |
Rodents. It may be difficult to feed pre-killed
mice, as they sense the movement in their prey. |
| Notes |
This snake is very attractive, but some can be
agressive. Although it's not recommended as a
beginners pet, they are not too hard to keep. |
