| Description |
These lizards grow to about eight inches in
length. They are bright green in color. Their
coloring may darken, to a brownish color depending
on their mood and surroundings. |
| Climate |
The green anole is native to southeastern US,
and so temperatures of low 80's during the days
are suitable, dropping to low to mid 70's at
night. |
| Habitat |
A tall terrarium is best suited, with branches
for climbing. Some sturdy palnts may help them
feel more comfortable. Provide a hiding spot, and
a basking area. Water should be provided by daily
misting, most of them won't drink from bowls of
water, although some will learn to do so. |
| Feeding |
Small insects - crickets, mealworms, waxworms or
small earthworms are good choices. |
