| Description |
It is typically light brown, with some dark
brown bands. It has a short crest, with spines
down to the base of it's tail. They grow to about
14 inches in length. |
| Climate |
A minimum of 90-100F during the days, dropping
to 80F at night. They are native to the southern
US and northern Mexico. |
| Habitat |
It should be housed in a desert type terrarium.
Make sure that both hot (100-100) and cooler
(70-80F) areas are provided so that the iguana can
regulate it's body temperature. |
| Feeding |
A mix of vegetables is suitable. Some desert
iguanas can be fed commercial lizard food. |
| Notes |
The desert iguana is peaceful, and several can
normally be kept together. |
